As I'm sure you've heard, the children have composed letters to the new mayor of Bristol to persuade him to make Bristol an even greener city. Lots of great ideas, improvements and initiatives have been suggested including; reducing bus fares, introducing more recycling bins, enforcing severe litter fines, installing solar panelling on school buildings, protecting green space and introducing more conservation areas.
Following the persuasive letter writing steps to success, the class added facts and figures to support their points, as well as using powerful persuasive vocabulary, paragraphs, connectives and rhetorical questions.
We posted these today and eagerly wait for a response.....
