Moving monsters

As part of their DT topic Year 3 will be researching and investigating pneumatic systems.

This week has involved experimentation with different pneumatic systems....which the children LOVED!

This is all in preparation for building their own moving monster!

Mirrors

In science this week the children have been using mirrors to reflect light.

We have explored how mirrors work, why they are excellent reflectors as well as using them to find lines of symmetry.

A paired challenge.... Can you bend a beam of light through the mirror maze?

Exploring the impressive amphitheatre - the most complete amphitheatre 

and the barracks...

A trip to the thermae (baths) to see where the soldiers and their families bathed, exercised and relaxed.
