We had a big discussion about forces and found out what the children already knew.
The main objectives were to:
*Understand that forces are pushes, pulls or both (twist)
*Understand that we can't actually see the force itself, but can see how it affects something.
*Explain that forces make objects change speed or direction/stop or change shape.
Please feel free to have a chat with the children about these at home if you would like.
Next we will be carrying out an enquiry to compare how things move on different surfaces.
