Dear Jack,

In role as The Giant from the fairytale, Jack and the beanstalk, the children have been writing their own letters of complaint. These were addressed to Jack of course, for he had made the giant extremely angry and upset for several reasons...

I was impressed to see all of the children had included most if not all of the steps to success, such as:

* correct letter layout

* formal/ forceful language

* a paragraph per point

* joining and extending connectives

* rhetorical questions
