Life in the Roman Army?

Preparations for a debate were under way this week, as we discussed the pros and cons of joining the Roman Army. Aside from the major negative of 'being killed', the children were pleasantly surprised that life in the Roman Army wasn't all that bad.

We were lucky enough to have a special visitor during our Science lesson on Wednesday afternoon. Dr Smith, who studied Geology at University, led a super interesting talk and Q&A session with the children! We all learnt a great deal!!
